Birthdays and Stitches....

Birthdays and Stitches seem to run together in my family! One year on my mom's birthday my brother Tyler slipped in the tub and cut his forehead open and needed stitches. That evening my sister Emma was running around and tripped and bit a good portion of her tongue almost off! It was pretty gross and even though they don't normally do stitches on a tongue she NEEDED them! :) Anyways, last week was Daniel's birthday and the night before we had to take Knowly to the ER for a knock to the forehead. He was climbing on a chair and fell and hit his head on the computer hutch. It was very sad but he was very good about it. It wasn't a very bad cut, had we had any skin glue we would have used that but we didn't so we took him in. I need to take a picture of it now that the stitches are gone. I've been putting Melaleuca oil a.k.a. teetree oil on it and it looks GREAT!

In other news, for Daniel's b-day we went to Chili's for dinner. It was so nice to go out! Chili's had this guy they let come in and make balloon animals for people at their tables for tips. He came to our table and we asked him to make a palm tree and he put a monkey in it. It was awesome! :)

It was also really fun, for Daniel's b-day I bought him a trifle dish, which he's been wanting for a while, and made a trifle for him. It turned out really pretty! :)

Also, my sister in law Crystal had her baby on Monday! Yay for her! Sad for me....She is beautiful! I love seeing my new niece and nephew (Amber's baby) but it makes me so sad!! Since they've now had their babies it's going to be a LONG 7ish weeks!!!! We did/do everything together but with the cold weather they are keeping the babies inside (very wise!) and now I'm lonely! Oh well, soon enough I suppose.

The good thing about Crystal having her baby is that since her parents are school teachers and can't just stop working, and our wonderful mother in law also has to work and Amber is at home with her baby and I'm well, not able to help as much as I'd like to, my mom decided to come and help her! She loves Crystal and it's kind of a "thank you" for helping me after all my surgeries and stuff last year. So I have my mom and sister, Ivy, staying with me right now. Mom is mostly at Crystal's but comes here at night and plays with the boys in the morning. Ivy is such a helper! she's always there to see if I need anything. This help couldn't have come at a better time!!!!!! So I'm grateful for that. Here is a sweet sweet picture of Ivy and the boys watching a youtube video. I love it!
