I LOVE LOVE LOVE fabric softener!!!! My dad bought me a downy ball and I absolutely LOVE it!!!! Unfortunately Nate and I are both allergic to fabric softeners, soap, and anything else with harsh smelly chemicals. Our skin is so dry and sensitive to these things, Nate more so than me. So we switched to the "organic, no-smell, boring stuff" and I hate it!!! It stinks! Literally. I miss the way my clothes used to smell so fresh! :( And I stopped using soap and shampoo on Nate unless he really needs it! His poor tummy was just so pitiful!
Scenario #2:

Nathan LOVES to drink from spray bottles! We have spray bottle wars and both he and Knowly like me to shoot water in their mouths from a distance. They think it's the BEST thing ever!!! Well, one day I found Nate trying to grab the Windex and was about to spray it in his mouth. AHHHHHHH! I freaked out and went on a mad hunt to see if I had any other cleaning supplies in children's reach without me knowing it. (all cleaning supplies are now safely stored way way high!)
Scenario #3:
This is my cleaning cabinet

plus more! I have a cleaner for the toilets, one for the mirrors, one for the sink, one for the tub, one for the kitchen, one for the floors, one for the carpets, ones that I've tried and they didn't work so I tried more and the list goes on....I HATE it!!! I want ONE cleaner for everything! Is that even possible?
Scenario #4:

I LOVE to shop at Aldi!!! They have the best deals on food! I have eaten almost everything they have to offer and it all tastes just like, if not better than, the food you pay twice the amount for at other grocery stores. What's the problem you ask? Well, I HATE the way their produce is so waxy!! It's gross that my cucumber slides out of my hands when I try to wash it and I'm so over buying products that don't really work so I refuse to pay $5 for a bottle of veggie wash that I don't even know if it will work.
Scenario #5:

Mosquitoes. Need I say more??? Nate was COVERED in bug bites all summer long. He looked like he had welts all over his poor little body but he loved to play outside so there wasn't a whole lot I could do for him.
The good news???? I HAVE FOUND SOLUTIONS FOR ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!
one word: Melaleuca
So this lady in our ward has started selling Melaleuca and she and I are pretty good friends. She said she needed help learning how to present the product. Well, I'd heard of it because my parents used it when I was little. I thought it was some big money making scheme to steal all my money like QuickStar or Amway that tried to suck us in a couple years ago, so I told her I didn't have any money to buy the product but I would love to help her with her presentation so she could improve her new money making endeavor. So we set a date and a time, I left all of my credit cards, check book, and cash at home so I wouldn't be tempted to even buy anything. An hour later they had solved all of these previously named problems!
Solution for #1:
MelaPower Laundry Detergent

It comes in two different sizes and two scents, 64 loads and 192 loads, and fresh scent or unscented. This detergent is so gentle on skin that it will not irritate dry or sensitive skin. And it smells FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness I love it! One sniff of that and I was totally sold!!! They have a 100% money back guarantee so what can it hurt? I decided to give it a whirl. When I heard I could get the 192 loads and that it would be a little cheaper I went, "oh great it's cheaper but I don't have ROOM for 192 loads worth of laundry soap!" So I went for the 64 loads. I forgot that it was 6x's concentrated and all i have to use is ONE TABLESPOON of detergent! My bottle is TINY! So next time I'll get the bigger bottle.
Solutions for #'s 2, 3, 4, and 5:
Tough and Tender

That's it! One product does it all!! Now they do have multiple products that can do other things but for the most part this product can do it all and do it well!!!! That's right it can do my tub, toilet, sink, mirrors (without streaking), stove, counters, floors, CARS, walls, I can even CLEAN MY FRUITS AND VEGETABLES with it!!!! And I've been told that I can spray it on my children (lightly) and it's a natural bug repellent because of the melaleuca oil aka teetree oil. (I'll have to try it out next summer but I'll let you know how it works!) It doesn't have any harmful chemicals so I don't have to worry if my kids to spray it in their mouths, it wouldn't taste good but at least it wouldn't kill them! There's no bleach so I don't have to worry about my clothes coming in contact with it like I do when I use 409. Plus it's totally safe to use while I'm pregnant! It's amazing stuff!!
Okay so I was so excited about these products that I was regretting leaving my purse at home. Luckily I took Daniel with me who had his wallet! :) My plan didn't work but I had really good intentions not to buy anything! We smelled everything and loved everything so much that now we're selling Melaleuca!! I don't know if we'll really make it into a business but it was the same cost to get the "preferred customer" price and the specials as it was to sign up to become a sales person. Plus it's a lot easier to sell something you LOVE rather than something that you hope people might maybe possibly like. So if you're interested let me know!! You too can down size your cleaning cabinet!
*This really wasn't intended to become a sales pitch, I just wanted to share my 2 solutions to my 5 problems! :)

okay so the Tough & Tender sounds amazing! have you tried it yet? Does it really work like it says? If so, i want one of those bottles! I wish you were in Utah so you could teach me all of this. I would love to get rid of the 17 bottles of cleaning solutions i have!
I can teach you as much as I know from here...I am still waiting to get the Tough and Tender (I was out of money at the moment) but it's my next purchase!! My sister in law uses it (and didn't tell me!) and she LOVES it too. These were not sales people I met with, not really, they were my friends that I trust so I went for it!
okay, do you know how much I would have to pay to order some and get it sent to me? It sounds like a good choice. Especially since we are renting and the only place we have to put cleaning supplies is under the sink and its overflowing!LOL
Mae, Can you send me a product list? I have tried Castile Soap (made with olive oil) and liked it,but if I can get a good product and help a family member, all the better. Thanks,
Uncle D
